Grounds for the Committee Composition
- The FEZ Committee shall be established under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy to deal with
affairs involving FEZs.
- The FEZ Committee shall consist of one chairman, one vice chairman, ex-officio members and not more than
10 commissioned members.
- The Minister of Knowledge Economy shall be the chairman and the vice chairman shall be elected among the commissioned members.
- The ex-officio members shall be persons prescribed by the Presidential Decree from among the heads of
central administrative agencies and the heads of institutions corresponding to the former.
- The commissioned members shall be commissioned by the chairman from among experts in the fields of labor, environment, foreign investment, logistics and urban policy or other related fields.
- Matters concerning the basic policy and system with regard to FEZs
- Matters concerning the designation, the cancellation of designation, and the alteration of designation, of FEZs
- Matters concerning FEZ development plans and its implementation
- Matters concerning the provision of administrative services required by foreign-invested enterprises to
operate their businesses in FEZs
- Matters concerning the coordination of opinions with the heads of central administrative agencies and the mayors/governors with regard to FEZs
- Other necessary matters concerning the designation and management of FEZ, which are prescribed by
the Presidential Decree
