Tax Benefits

Deduction of taxes available to corporate

- Corporate tax: 100% for 3 years from generation of operating, 50% for 2 years thereafter
- Tariff: 100% for 3 years on imported capital goods
- Acquisition, registration, and property tax (including land): 100% for 3 years, 50% for 2 years

Effective support system

FEZ Planning Office under the MKE draws up policies and systems, operates the related legal system, oversees state subvention, and coordinates activities of relevant government agencies. Six FEZ Authorities under local governments provide one-stop service.

- Various approval processes, which had been overseen by local governments, are handled by the FEZ Authorities.
- Project managers assist with all services related to investment including consulting, execution and follow-up support.

A conflict mediation body is set up in each zone to fairly and swiftly resolve commercial disputes arising in FEZs. An ombudsman service is available to help foreigners resolve problems related to working and living in Korea. Dedicated agencies ensure effective and expert management of infrastructure facilities, such as Incheon International Airport Corp., Busan Port Authority, and Korea Container Terminal Authority (Gwangyang Port)
