On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Incheon Metropolitan Government and IFEZ met with a group of presidents of Sartorius, a global biomaterials, parts, and equipment company in Germany. Attending the meeting were current Chairman of Sartorius, Dr. Joachim Kreuzburg, and a group of new Chairman Dr. Michael Grosse, who is scheduled to take office in July this year. Sartorius is conducting a large-scale facility investment for research in the manufacturing and processing fields of biopharmaceutical core raw materials at the industrial facility site of Songdo International City's Advanced Industrial Cluster (B) (211-1, 24,434㎡ in Songdo-dong). It signed a land sales contract in October 2022 and began construction in January 2023.
