On July 22, 2011 (Friday), IFEZ held a briefing session on the completion of the project to create the second phase of the ubiquitous pilot city in Songdo International City. The second phase of the ubiquitous pilot city project was completed for six months with a project cost of KRW 3 billion in Songdo International City District 2 (International Business District) and District 4 (Knowledge Information Complex), which have the largest population. Songdo International City's second and fourth sections recognize advanced transportation systems and vehicle numbers whose signal systems change according to vehicle flow, blocking the entry of vehicles related to various thefts and crimes, and establishing a traffic light system so that traffic lights can change in real time according to circumstances through self-communication networks and advanced transportation systems.
