On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Yonsei Health System held the groundbreaking ceremony for Yonsei University Songdo Severance Hospital at the hospital site within Yonsei University International Campus in Songdo International City, located at 85 Songdo Gwahak-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Songdo Severance Hospital is planned to be built on an 85,800㎡ site with 14 floors above ground, three basement levels, and 800 beds, and is being promoted with the goal of opening in December 2026. Based on Yonsei Health System’s medical infrastructure, the hospital will provide specialized clinical services and is expected to serve as a hub hospital for the Gyeongin region and the west coast, while also carrying out bio-convergence and research functions.
