On February 26, 2007, Gachon Medical University held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Gachon Medical University Cancer and Diabetes Research Institute at the Incheon Techno Park site in Songdo International City. About 300 people, including the mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City, the chairman of the Incheon Metropolitan City Council, and the chairman of the Gachon-gil Foundation, attended the groundbreaking ceremony, and they will recruit world-famous experts in cancer and diabetes research and treatment to conduct active research activities.
