On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding at G-Tower in Songdo International City with Costco Korea Co., Ltd. and Korea Land and Housing Corporation for the development of Costco in Cheongna International City. The Cheongna Costco store was planned for Investment Attraction Site Block 5-1 in Cheongna International City, covering 58,707㎡, with a total project cost of approximately KRW 90 billion (approximately USD 76 million) and a total floor area of 156,000㎡. Costco is a membership-based warehouse retail company operating more than 780 stores worldwide and serving over 95 million members.
