On Monday, September 30, 2019, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean Research Society of Pain Mechanism to revitalize research and development in the bio cluster of Songdo International City. The two organizations agreed to jointly host the Asian Pain Symposium in Songdo International City from December 5 to 7, 2019, in order to strengthen competitiveness in research and development and service fields, expand international academic exchange, and build a foundation for cooperation between resident companies, institutions, and domestic and overseas experts. The symposium is expected to bring together about 500 experts from Korea and abroad, including world-renowned scholars in the pain field such as Xu Zhang, Director of the Institute of Neuroscience at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jianguo G. Gu, Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and Makoto Tominaga, Professor at the National Institute for Physiological Sciences Bioscience Center in Japan.
