On Thursday, November 21, 2019, IFEZ broke ground on Cheongna City Tower in Cheongna International City. The tower is to be built on a 33,058㎡ site near the lake park, with a height of 448 meters and 28 floors above ground and 2 below ground. The top section will include a top floor and sky deck, a high-rise observatory, a sloped skywalk, and a glass-floor photo zone, while a mixed-use complex with shopping and exhibition facilities will be created from basement level 2 to ground level 3. Once completed, it is expected to become the tallest tower in Korea and the sixth tallest in the world, serving as a landmark attraction for Cheongna International City.
